Armed with the knowledge gained from posts in this forum, I took my Veccie in to dealer today to have them look at the R/H indicator cancelling problem. I explained I felt it was dangerous, and that the information I had from this forum was that it is a very common fault, and required either steering position calibration or CIM replacement.
After going walkabout for an hour, I returned expecting the usual 'we can't find anything wrong, sir'. But pleasently surprised, I was told it needed a new CIM. Downside was they fitted one Friday, so it was out of stock.
So, waiting for a call when it's in, then they want it back for a couple of hours. Still less than 3 years old, so covered under warranty. (That's why I took it in now.)
Will keep you posted on the outcome, but anyone else with this fault should get it sorted, especially if the car is still under warranty. Not sure what the cost would be otherwise.
