Default Anyone else's car feel like a pig...

...when you have 4 (normal sized - before you ask LOL) people in the car? I cant explain how annoyed at my car I was driving back from London last night, it took an age to get to even 70!

I had no warning lights, half a tank, the engine/turbo sounded fine, but the rev's just wouldnt shoot/go up like they normally do! I am used to having only me and the misses in the car, but even with a full tank it took off a lot quicker than last night... I was even worried about over taking lorries LOL.

I can only think of one thing that I did different... filled up at Asda... normally I put BP/ Esso SUL in, but I was really low, they only had normal and now I've used that tank and put Esso SUL in, the car seems to have picked up again. Could it really have been something as simple as different fuel?

Of course a couple more cylinders would help too

    confused

extra weight combined with lower quality fuel will have made a considerable difference - you think normal sized people what are we saying 11 stone each.... even if they were 10 stone thats a lot more than your used to carrying have you been out today 1 or 2 up to see if its better today ??

I normally use Sainsburys super, anything else or normal and she feels sluggish. As a treat I use Shell super/v power. And it may be psychological BUT Im confident she responds to the Shell..worth the extra.

Mine seems to be flying at the moment and i can only put it down to 1), the cold weather letting the engine breath better, and 2), i've recently been filling up with Tesco 99 RON.

Having read numerous threads on VXR Online, it seems to be the prefered fuel above BP Ulitimate and Shell V-Power and i have to concur. Since using it i have seen better performance and better mpg.

Snowman, you got your ears on?
