    Unhappy edition 100 boosting problem?

    Hi guys,

As title suggests my 2.0T is having some running problems.
Have noticed recently that the turbo does not seem to spool up all the times despite the car running fine, no rattles, splutters, jumping its as if the turbo is disconnected.
The EML has come on once whilst driving but not again.
Have read the codes and P0034 is being displayed.
After checking on the OBD-II.com pages this refers to the "tubocharger bypass valve control circuit low".
As you can guess this means nothing to me!!
Hoping some of you can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mark.

    Thanks for the replies guys,

Firstly i dont have any BOV or dump valves fitted it is standard.
Regarding checking hoses apart from the ones i can obviously see when opening the bonnet what/where should i be looking?

    Thanks again,

    Mark.

    Just a quick update.
I noticed a few people are having problems lately especially with the 2.0T engine regarding poor performance lack of power and boost problems like myself.
Most like me have some error codes which point to certain routes to take.
After checking all hoses, bypass valve and boost soleniod and connections i was thinking it will have to be a trip to the stealers.
Just on the off chance before the trip to the stealers i decided to fill up with BP Optimax and add some fuel cleaner additive as apposed to my usual trip to tescos for their 99 octane fuel.
And yes you guessed it after a 10 mile trip full turbo, full boost and in my opinion better engine response.
It may be a coincidence but after recent concerns about supermarket fuels and last years problems Tescos had with poor fuel killing cars it all seems to add up!!
Point being dont despair when the EML of death appears, check the obvious first especially what fuel you use and where you get it from.
