Remove the washer bottle filler neck to make it easier. It just pulls out. Apart from that its just as fun as the drivers side
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Prefacelift model? Lift up the battery box lid, then unhook the windscreen washer bottle neck from the slam panel, then twist off the filler neck. That'll give you plenty of room. Don't listen to any doomsayers who reckon you need to remove the headlight (after loosening the bumper first).

Wait until you need to replace the offside headlamp bulb (prefacelift)
Removing the bumper is easier, and you only need to release three screws
Once you have removed the original bulb, make sure you can easily remove the replacement by loosing the locating lugs)
I can now do this without removing the bumper

Its not that bad of a job if your careful! Cover off, remove the cover and replace.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

I can change the offside headlight bulb on mine quite easily. I have large hands too. Thought they are by nature vety dextrous. I don,t know if there is more room under the bonnet of mine seeing that it is a 3.2 V6. But heavens know how you would do the job on the 3,0. V6 Diesel, other than removing the bumper.

    Exactly
I have had people suggest removing the air box, but even then it is still impossible!
There is just no room, and on my first attempt I nearly broke my wrist as the gap is just 70mm
I then removed the edge of the bumper, however found I had to unbolt the bottom of the headlamp
Before refitting I modified the clip that holds the bulb in place and tested before rebolting
The bulb is now only just held in place and comes out easily
However I did make the mistake last time of overtightening, and knew as soon as I had done it that the bumper may have to come off again (which it did, but it was less than 10 minutes)

Driver's side is a pain to do, but possible without removing airbox!
