For a 1.8 LS (pre face-lift) the fronts should be 2 bar (29 psi) and the rear 2.2 bar (32psi). On full load raise to 2.2 front and 2.7 (39 psi) on rear.

That's what it says for the 1.8 in the manual with our newly aquired 2007 Vectra.

Vehicle : Vectra C Hatchback Facelift

    Trim : Club

    Engine : Z18XE

    Year : 2005

    Mileage : 100085

It depends on what tyre size..our 55 Reg Facelift Club Hatch with the Z18XE engine, has 205/55R x 16's on 5 spoke alloys as standard..

Three levels of tyre pressures suggested in the handbook -
    First - 'Normal' upto 3 passengers 29psi Front/32psi Rear
Second - 35psi Front/38psi Rear for upto 3 passengers for improved economy &
    Third - Full load 35psi Front/42psi Rear....

    Cheers

I use double the wheel size plus 2, that would be 34 for standard 16's and I've never had a problem.

    I tend to RTFM.

If I used the "double the wheel size and added 2" method, then my pressures would be 36, whereas the handbook states 32.

32 is what I've always set them at, and the wear rate is constant right across the tyre.

Putting in 36 would not only make the ride harder, but wear down the middle of the tyre quicker than the rest.

In short, the "double the wheel size and added 2" method isn't acurate.
