    Default Xp or no xp

Hi guys, been looking now for a while for a vectra cdti sri, went to look at an 08 vectra cdti 150 with xp the other day and it looked ace. the only thing thats putting me off is those big 19" alloys, for two reasons. one being, i hear 19" wheels make for a bit of a bumpy ride and dont want to shake our new born to death over all the pot holes ( especially with the good old british roads) and i bet the tyres aint cheap either, 2nd you wanna see what my mrs has done to my 17" alloys on our car now. she just loves kerbing alloys. i do like the standard 17" wheels on the sri and the tyres aint all that low profile so maybe better sticking with them as its parked in the street of an evening (kerbs) so do i go for the standard sri maybe a bit more practical or go for exterior pack. advice please, cheers

If that's the only thing putting you off then why don't you swap 'em? 19"s will sell for more than 17"'s, so you'll make a profit on 'em no doubt!

i was thinking of doing that, just wanted to see if it was true about the ride with 19" wheels on. would the car look like it needed to be lowered if i swapped the wheels for sri 17" ones

I had a 55 plate Cdti Sri 150 with 19" alloys on at the car looked brilliant

As they are ultra low profile you can kerb them very easily and as for the cost ummmm! I had Continentals on mine, and even after various discounts, the cheapest I ever paid was £165 each

The ride is not that bad though, and it shouldn't shake your new born out of the seat.

oh good. i love the xp body kit, thought it might look a bit daft taking the 19"s off and putting 17", do you think the arch clearances would look the same as the sri then
