    Default rear pad replacement

    hi guys, i know you will have heard this 1000's of times but i am going to change brakes and pads all round and need some help please.
    i know i need a piston winding tool with a 22mm pin distance, is that right?
    also where can i get the tool? i have found some on ebay but dont want to pay £40 because of all the new discs and pads. i have read people have been quoted about £10 from draper?

    I would bite the bullett and buy a decent one now , as your sure as hell going to need one in the future!!

    By the way I have a Sykes Pickerfant one which I got from a factors many moons ago , about 20 -30 quid

    You can get the tool from Halfords, and a £9 attachment from ebay, mine worked out at £26 all in.

    I recently changed mine, to later find you need this tool ended up taking off the hydraulic connection and forcing it in with a hammer! It went in quite easily, but i'm sure it would have been easier with the tool!

    Was told by my local garage to unhook the handbrake cable out of adjuster and piston will wind in easily with just a pliers.Not tried yet as too wet to do on driveway.

    these can be wound bak with normal pliers long nose are best iv done it loads of times now or even vice grips being carefull!
