    Default Disconecting the Battery..

    I was thinkin of disconecting the batery today, cause i read some where that it resets the ECU...is this true...I have 120 8v and have a tuning box on it and have adjusted the setting on it..I know i will have to reset the radio and re programe the memory on the windows but is there any thing else to be aware of....

    I had mine unplugged for something like 3-4 hours the other day fitting my heated seats, didnt have to re-program anything. The car did rev up alot quicker, but it seems to have settled again now.

    Not sure if applies to the Vec-C, but on the Vec-B you first had to switch on & off the iginition, then disconnect the battery within 15 seconds - this prevented the alarm from going off.

    Thats one thing I didn't realise with my old B, I can still hear that siren now

    ha ha... was that same with the astra g?

    Did this so many times but i used to remove the + side, alarm would go off. then tap it back on the battery and remove fully. alarm stayed off then..
