    confused Clutch Judder?

Anyone knows what causes clutch judder or on a 1.8XE 52000 miles.

Seems to happen randomly or when releasing the clutch fairly quickly.

Could this be a sign of a failing clutch or a DMF issue? or something else?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I will be happy if it doesnt have a DMF, i have read plenty of posts about these and none seem a cheap fix!

Could it be oil or something getting on the cluth "face"?

possibly but unlikely. I had a car with a similar problem so I tried to 'bed it in' sowt a speak as it was a new clutch so i gave the clutch some heavy abuse by revving hard and slipping it a lot and it did do the trick. i was loathed to take the clutch out again and replace, not really scientific but it did work. Juderring though can also manifest from worn or loose engine mountings which again i would suggest is unlikely.

If im honest the car had been standing a while unused (about 3-4 weeks when i noticed this had started and i have only recently started using the car again on a daily basis so maybe its one of those things that will clear itself with use?

I personally wouldn't worry about it, sounds like it will go away. I'm pretty sure yours won't have a dmf fitted as they are used on diesels to damp torsional vibration and prolong gearbox life.
