    Default RC Cars for Beginners

Am thinking of getting a decent sized RC car for me and little lad to have some fun with.

Have seen this Subaru advertised in Stuff magazine.

I want something simple to use, doesn't require much maintenance, but fast and fun

Is this any good, or could someone recommend something better, not fussed about car, 4x4, off road. Am open to all suggestions.

    Cheers

    MM boys toys
Had loads of Tamiya stuff, Grasshopper, Hornet, Hot Shot and one I can't remember, might have been Boomerang.
Moved onto Nitro cars after that. Spent a small fortune (upgraded everything, tuned exhaust, better motor, the works really) on the last one then gave it away to a neighbours son when the eldest little lady was born.

Plenty of bits available to expand your modding

tamiya used to make excellent rc cars but have fallen by the wayside a touch over the last ten years or so, go for a hpi car if possible, most local hobby shops tend to stock all spares for hpi cars as well and they are pretty reliable....but whatever you buy don't get persuaded to go for a nitro car, yes they are fast and yes they are fun, but they are no where near as reliable or simple to use..and are very costly to run..
