    Default Gym / Fitness

To all those gym-goers out there, was wondering if anyone knew a good chest workout? I'm no longer feeling anything from my current workout, figured i'd give you guys a go!

    Cheers, Danny.

An idea of what your routine is would help.

Sorry mate, atm i'm doing a mix of chest/arms. I do bench press with dumbells, 4 sets @ 24kg each hand, then inclines @ same reps / weight, then chest press (machine) 35kg 4 sets, then dumbell flyes with 22kg each hand 4 sets, then inclines @ same rep / weight. Normally takes me about 40 minutes, then I do 20 minutes on my arms, or go for 20 minutes on the punchbag!

You could try doing super sets.
Start with a slightly heavier weight, 1 set at heavy weight, another set at a lighter weight and so on for 3 or 4 sets then start again so you are doing 3 or 4 x 4.

you could try doing your first set with a lighter weight but doing 15-20 reps to really get the blood flowing to your muscles, then increase the weight on every set after that doing maybe 10,8 and 6 reps on each set after that instead of just using the same weight. i don't quite under stand how your doing 24kgs on each arm on dumbell presses but on the machine chest press your only doing 35kgs? judging by what your lifting that should be a warm up weight, and increasing to at least double that over 4 sets. it sounds to me like you've just got comfortable with the weights you are lifting and it may simply be a case of pushing yourself harder and increasing the amount of weight you are lifting over the 4 sets, although this depends really on what you want to achieve from lifting weights?

I see people doing those supersets, and also see people doing that increase technique aswell. The last person I asked told me to up my weights, I can up em by an extra 2kg each Hand but I can only do maybe 6ish reps, justcant do anymore! I'm going to spirit @ haydock island, more of a fitness gym but it has a bench there, and there's not so many roid heads as there would be in a lads gym!
