Limewire has free downloads and I have made myself a few CD's from them, but I am no expert and cant rate on just how good the site is but it does for me

Perhaps you should say what are you wanting to download?

Amazon has an mp3 download service which, in my experience, is cheaper and less restrictive than itunes.

I'll take a butchers at Amazon cheers. As for limewire I used it in the past and never again, lots of little nasties hidden in files on limewire, my Norton used to have a field day after a visit.

I've used Tesco a few times when the've had offers on new albums, cheap & effective

my son uses mininova.org for his music no pop ups or any thing else.

tescos have had some good "offers" whereby they made mistakes and whole new albums were less than a quid

you can also try play.com

its all dependant on who's doing the best offer on the music/track you want at the time
