Default Wheel trying to fall off!!!!

I bought some second hand sri wheels off another member and took them to the garage last week to get them fitted - today I thought a wheel bearing had gone - the car was shaking when not under acceleration or braking - took it to a mates garage who drove it and thought it might be a bearing but didint feel quite right to be so!! - jacked it up and the wheel happily rocked on the hub!!!!!!! so he tightened all the bolts up and then went round the rest of the car - all the bolts could be tightened further!!

They were originally fitted by Gary Corby tyres in Havefordwest - avoid!!!!

Some of the better places will hand you a tyre iron and ask you to "test" them before you pay up.

Bad bad practice not using a torque wrench after putting wheels back on, a lot of these tyre places and back street places dont believe in torque wrenches.

i wouldnt say a better place would do that..i would say a place that aint confident in what they do would do that!.

yup most garages(even a well known alloy supplier up here) just 'gun' them on,which is just mental, to tight or not tight enough.. a wheel bolt aint as tight and robust as you may think..buy a torque wrench and try it you will be suprised.
I never put a car out unless all wheels nuts have been slackend then torqued to required specification. gives me peice of mind too!...

i would take them all the road mate!
