    Default Passenger window control on door...

    The switch on the passenger door wont bring the window down. Works fine from the switch on the drivers door so I know the mechanics are ok. If it's a faulty switch is this an easy replace or a door off job ?

    Thanks

    These buttons can be arkward if not used regulary. Suck/blow/brush the dust out from under the buttons. Failing that, try some electrical contact cleaner - as long as you wipe the surplus up afterwards so it doesn't run everywhere.

    If the switch doesn't light up, pop it out of the door and check the electrical connector is firmly connected. You could use some electrical contact cleaner there as well if it looks dirty.

    I had this, switch wouldn't open the window but the door lock and boot unlock switches still worked.

    How I fixed mine was like this;

    Use a thin flat blade, I used a butter knife from the kitchen , pop the switch surround out the door and unplug the connector, then with the knife pop the switch out the surround plate. Then carefully with the knife again gently prise the switch apart from either side at the back. Then you'll have the buttons, rubber "contact" pad and circuit board. spray the lot with super solve/contact cleaner, including the contacts on the boot pad, dry it off and put back together and back in the car.

    Took 10mins total and now works like a dream, well mine does anyway
