Default An update on my new Falken 225/40/18 FK452's

Following on from THIS thread where i finally went for THESE Falken's, and as some members were interested on how they performed, here's a quick update after having them on for just over a week.

You'll notice that they are an XL tyre which means Extra Load, and as such the ride is a little more harsh, but not much. In both the wet and dry they are awesome! Been giving it a bit more on the loud pedal here and there just to see how they do perform and i'm extremely impressed.

In the dry around roundabouts and bends the grip is fantastic with no oversteer/understeer. They are equaly good in the wet too, again around bends/roundabouts and even pulling off from junctions giving it some throttle, there has been no sign of wheelspin, unlike my other tyres which had about as much grip as a set of castors off a grand piano!

So there you go. If your after a new tyre, then i cannot recommend the Falken FK452 enough. That along with the price and speedy delivery from Camskill, you can't go far wrong.

    Hope this helps,

    Paul.

Got the Falken ZE912s on mine at the moment and I rate them highly, might try the 452's when I need a change though just for comparisons sake!

I have these tyres too in the 225/45/17 size and I think they are really good when you consider the price of them. I had Goodyear F1 GSD3's before and they droned really bad at the backend but these dont make a sound

    Bob,

£269 inc delivery for the tyres and £69 for fitting and balancing, so £338 in total.

    Paul.

I used to have Falken FK452's on my old MG ZT-T Turbo albeit 225/45ZR18. Used be about £200 for the pair all in. It was heavy on tyres, only averaging about 15k on the front and 18k on the rear. Very good tyre though
