shame but it depends can you be arsed to stip it and then find somewhere to keep the parts
Drastic matey. would it not be cheaper to try and repair it rather than dismantle it, time, effort and your still gonna have to buy another car which will be more than 1300 quid....

I would certainly shop round for a couple more prices before I condemned it to the scrap yard.

I think stripping it is being quite defeatist, have a look around and you'll get a solution that won't cost £1300 plus fitting.

Second hand pumps are no use for the Vec C, and that is a pump for a vec b. What is wrong with the pump is it mechanical or electrical. Couldn't you get someone to repair?

Why are 2nd hand pumps no use?
They are coded to the car and can't be re-coded, tech 2 or otherwise
It's alway a worry for us dti owners that the pump may fail
