Default Is there any way to wire up a DVD player to stay on for 2 hours after ingnition off?

As title.. I fitted the roof Vauxhall roof mounted DVD player in the back for the nippers. It's the best money I have EVER spent .

But it's basic and I mean basic no disc memory etc and when I have to stop for say petrol or even parking up to much a Macdonald's or an ice cream or something it switches off. I did have it permanent live but worry about forgetting to switch it off and having a flat battery for work in the morning..

Is there any fuse that stays live for a period of time after you switch the ignition off?? Or a way to wire in a timer or something similar? As the kids get a bit arsey when scooby doo switches off just because Dad needs to fill up AGAIN...

    Any help gratefully received...

Couple of hundred quid I think... http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=88742 ........linky to the fitting thread..

It would be great if it would stay on when I nip into pay for stuff because I aint leaving the ignition on/keys in car as I'd come back to no kids or car...

As above any suitably (amperage) rated timed relay would do.

Hi mate, if I remember rightly you didnt get any instructions with it did you? There is a way to do it though. Its fuse F6 in the same fues box your using (I take it your using the front passenger one? If your using the rear one give us a shout and I'll have a look at mine.

No I got instructions with mine and I fed the wires down the the fuses in the boot! As per instructions I might add .. But I could re route them if necessary..

The vauxhall one is basic and you can't link it to other sources. You can link it out to other screens but only when it is out the car! When it's in the roof holder all the output plugs are inaccessible.. If I was wanting to link it up to other screens etc I'd buy something else with USB DivX etc..
