    Default Creaky suspension

My suspension creaks greatly when going over bumps/speed bumps. It creaks most when my front wheels go over. Am I in need of them looking at? If so, is it worth me swapping them for some eibachs, drop it 35mm or so?, how much am I looking at for a set?

If it's creaking it could be your rad mounts doing that mate.

If you want to get it lowered then Eibachs are the best IMO and will set you back about £160 ish for a set (you won't be dissappointed with them)

The symptoms would usually be a knocking not a creaking mate...

Had a crash in august, rear back drivers wheel arch badly damaged, anything to do with this you reckon? If so I'm ****** claiming, it started after that you see!

As for the eibachs, I shall definately look into them, will it affect the handling of the car, good or bad? Are they doable by myself or is it a garge job like?

If you think the creaking is coming from the front then I reckon it could be the radiator mounts or possibly the shocks.
As for the Eibachs, just realised that you've got an LS. The only issue you have is that ideally you should have shortened shocks (like the SRi's have) but I think you can get away with just upgrading the springs for now which will definatly improve the handling mate.
I got a friend to give me a hand with fitting them because he's got a few more tools than I have

Well sounds like it's coming from the front yeah, just weird how it appeared since the crash! I'll wait until insurance repair my car and if it continues after that, then I know something needs looking at, the noise to be precise sounds like a creaky metal bending or something!

Shortened shocks, do you mean how the SRI standardly rides low?

The SRi (GSi, VXR & some SXi's) has shortened shocks and sits 15mm lower (springs) than standard models. These springs only lower the car another 20mm or so in the end and it's recommended that any lower on the SRi's you should get even shorter shocks.

I didn't know LS's had the shortened shocks too, though my car does seem to be riding pretty high :\

They don't mate, that's the point I was trying to make lol you might need to get some SRi shocks or aftermarket but you might be able to get away with the standard LS ones
