    Default I give up

ive brought a VXR rear spoiler which came in primer (dark grey), so i thought i can spray that myself so went to halfords and brought the paint (lightning silver) and painted it, did a amazing job if i do say so myself only to find that it was no where near the colour of my car (gutted lol), but then did notice that the undercoat of my car is white so i rubbed it all down and reprimed it in white primer and repainted it again, again amazing job but still no where near the colour of my car (gutted) so i rubbed it down yet again and went to vauxhalls for the paint (rip off) and repainted it yet again ,again amazing job lol but although its better still not the same colour as the car. im getting fed up now so i took it too a body shop and had it painted again! and its still not a identical match. question is every vectra ive seen with a VXR spoiler the spoiler dosnt seem to match the car is this normal or is there something im missing

plastics and metals never seem to have a compelte match - some appear lighter and some darker - would recommend a bodyshop psraying in situ so they can "blend" the paint and make it less noticable

I've had my bumpers resprayed and I know every garage I've been too says its hard sometimes to get it looking the exact colour finish of the car as the paint is going onto plastic and not metal.
