    Default Vectra alarm

    Guys, can the standard alarm be adapted to have a remote starter?

    Yes and no...

    However you will need to remove the current alarm system
    OR
    Incorporate the transpoder into the car and then wire the remote starter into the wiring (any auto electrician would be able to do this)

    Secondly you will need to declare the car as having the new alarm system, and that might increase the premium quite substantially (even if it is Thatcham approved)

    You would then need to park the car in neutral, if it is a manual
    NOT recommended in the Vectra C for obvious reasons!

    How do you mean not recommended mate?

    Park the car in neutral and someone could easily push your car away...
    The handbrake on the Vectra C is useless, engage a gear when parking

    ha ha yes i found thone out when i found my car at the bottom of the hill oudside the gf's
