    Default 100W bulbs

Rite guys, before you start telling my that 100W bulbs are illegal to use on the road etc i know this.

    Now..

if the regular bulb is 55W, would the 100W bulb melt any off the xenon light surrounding on the vectra?
and during an mot as far as im aware they do not test the brightness of the bulb do they?
    thanks

more likely that a 100w bulb would melt the electrical connector and wiring its attached to as there not rated to take that type of bulb - prolonged and continious use will probably make the plug brittle as well

I would be very carefull if you use those bulbs. In fact I would not recomend you use them. As yes they could quite well melt the wireing. I use them on a car many years ago, they were fine. But when I tried them on the car that replaced it. I noticed that when they were on, the grease on the battery terminals started to smoke!!. So I removed them and put the standard one,s back in. Best to try something like "say" Osram nightbreakers if you want a bit more light.
