    Default Cruise control doesn't work!

Recently discovered my cruise control does not work anymore, the green light comes up when I press the button, but it doesn't activate! Had a crash in august, (car still hasn't been repaired!) in which I had my cruise contorl on, ever since then, it's not working. FTR, I try to activate it with speeds over 40 MPH like it says in the manual. Any ideas?

sorry not heard of that thought if the light was on it should be on might be worth getting a vx dealer to have a look. otherwise you might be fitting parts you don't need

Sorry, kind of bad explanation, it comes on when the button is pressed/held, but doesn't stay on!

Try putting your foot under the clutch pedal to keep it up and press the button then see if it stays on cos a mate had that problem and it was the spring on the clutch

Should the clutch go down when I press the cruise control button? I've been pressing the button driving at speeds of 70mph in 5th gear with the clutch up, and when pressing the speed just goes down.

no, put ur foot under the clutch padal and lift it back towards you then try the cruise as their is a small clutch switch at the top that needs to be engaged.
