    Default heated seats

    I have fitted some leather seats to my car today out of a 53 plate sri they came with the switches but i dont have the wiring in my car, is there any way of getting them to work or shall i just give up

    I have had a look at other threads but cant find what to do so any help would be great.

    yes you can wire them up m8 and get them tech2'd

    do you know what parts i need mate as i said i have he switches but dont have the wires behind the dash is it just a seperate wireor would i need a whole new dash loom thanks

    you can just add the wires and the switch carriers behind the dash but you will need to add to the body loom aswell not a 5 min job
    and it will all need tech2'd aswell.
    the easest way is to buy the looms from a scrappy and remove the wires needed then add them to your loom.
    or you could buy the tools and make your own mini looms.

    thanks mate seems to big a job for me to do gutted but dont want to be cutting wires, thought i might have been able to just buy the wires from the switch straight to the seats. thanks again

    it not a hard job m8
    just takes a lot of time and no cutting wires just adding the pins/wires to the plugs thats in the car.
    looms will cost about £100 from scrappy and a couple of de-pining tools £20
    and time to depin the old looom and then add them to yours.
    wires go from the switch carriers to the bcu in passenger foot well and seat plugs to the passenger footwell loom plug then from that to the bcu.

    worst part of the job is depinning and taking the interior out of the car.
    about a days work at the most

    i am no good with wires and elecs so would have to pay someone to do it for me. will speak to vauxhall in the morning see what they say thanks for your help mate.

    Vauxhall will tell you "oh no sir, that can't be done." Not trying to dishearten you, just setting a realistic expectation level.
