As a newbie to the Forum and to the Vectra, does anyone know if beam convertors are available for driving in Europe, Halfords say no (if its not on the list then it doesn't exist)!!

I think you can move a lever behind the headlight to change the beam angle...it's in the manual.
Have a trial run first though. There was a right prat once struggling to do it in the que for the chunnel once! He was stood in the pi$$ing rain getting absolutely soaked! It took me about 30 secs each side - didn't bother removing the washer fill neck. I elbowed him out of the way - politely of course - and did it for him.
Thanks v. much. Only just taken delivery and still working out the features. Especially like the auto-dipping mirrors. Great website too!!
my manual says consult your dealer (page 117) what does it say in your manual ?

It doesn't actually say that, but it infers it! Maybe it's different for Xenons or something?
My facelift states in the hand book to refer to dealer.
Anyone done this yet? I am not sure and I go to France in July!!
My Australian manual is silent on this; maybe because we can't drive to any left hand drive countries...
Went into Vx garage today to ask about re-aligning the lights and was told by service dept that they had tried to adjust them on a veccy just last week but they couldn't to it, I was advised that the only way is to purchase a set of headlight protectors with the beam bender already on . So, over to the parts dept and was told that these aren't available and to go and see the service guys . the guy made a phone call and is going to contact me on Monday (driving to Spain on Thursday!!) Anyways, got home, had a look meself at the knob/wheel adjusters that you just cannot get a firm enough grip to actually turn. Had a can of beer or 2 . Had another look as these things generally get simpler with beer goggles and, hey presto, if you look directly down at the headligght, you see two yellow dials with a hexagonal cut out, so insert allen key, 6mm I think, don't quote me, and twist round a few times you can see the reflectors moving. Sorted.
Hope this helps
Mmmm lagerrrrrr.
