    Default CDTI 150.... another?

    I think 60% of problems in this page are from the cdti 150's, has anyone else noticed this? I was actually considering getting a diesel veccy aswell,
    glad I never now!

    I'm glad I got one, I think percentage of problems compared with the number of CDTi 150's out there is probably relatively small - always exaggerated on a forum.

    I think you see problems because that is what we post about now if we all posted about the good things i'm sure you would see a lot good things

    True true, forums are where people come with problems. Granted, there are less with other engines lololol but hey !!

    No I have not noticed it. Considering the amount built which are in the 100's of thoudand units and we many see maybe 20-30 members on here with issues it means nothing.

    I am on my 4th 1.9 150 and covered near on 200,000 miles in them and engine wise I have one injector fault on my current car.

    The 2.2 direct is far more unreliable as a percentage when you compare the faulty ones against the total amount of 2.2 directs built. 2.0 Turbo's on the same basis are even worse!

    So it does'nt always paint the correct picture.

    The 2.2 Direct may have ongoing problem with the fuel pump but theres a endless list of problems with the 1.9

    Lucky enough my 2.2 has not missed a beat touch wood

    Don't get me wrong, I wasn't slating the 2.2, I was just saying that as the 1.9 is by far the more common engine, a component fault will apply to a higher number of engines.
