Default Boost pressure problem - 3.0CDTI

Fiddled with my mate's OP-COM and as predicted there was a stored fault code for fuel pressure. Rail pressure - negative deviation. Probably already had the pump done in the past because otherwise the fault code would have been "fuel system - unknown error"...but that doesn't bother me.

What worries me is the difference between Boost pressure command and actual Boost pressure.

    On idle:
    Boost pressure command: 110kPa
    Boost pressure: 94kPa

The boost sensor is clean as is the EGR. Turbo sounds healthy and last time I checked there was no play in the shaft.

Hello mate the op-com software will show faults that tech 2 does not. My car list a list to long to go through using op-com. If I put tech 2 on it it shows no faults. if I put my snap on scaner on it it shows no faults. The op- com software picks up any blip in voltage as tech 2 and snap on are made to ignore little blips.

Thanks for reassuring me that all is not so bad But is it a possibility that the difference beforementioned is a cause of sticking turbo vanes?

it might be low on idle cause of the intake vacume, as no turbo boost just the air vacume from the 6cyl fireing draging in air

sb1uk mate can you get your car plugged in OP-COM and check the boost pressure value on idle?
