    Question Signum 2.0 Turbo

    Read with great interest all the threads regarding Signum Turbos and thought I had way forward, seemed life was simple as I had Z20NET engine and therefore I thought I would have Garrett GT2052 Turbo.

    Contacted both TT and Midland Turbo to get prices and options, but neither can clarify which Turbo I have. TT sat that GT2052 is for a Perkins Diesel.
    Dealer simply says £600+ and yes there are a couple depending on chassis number; Yes it may be possible to get excange refurbed unit but that company must identify what you require.

    As it is imposible to read the model id on the Turbo, does anyone have any advice how to move forward.

    My mechanic does not have space to strip off and wait while it is refurbed.

    IIRC there may be a plate with the details on the turbo somewhere. Not sure how easy it is to have a look? I am pretty sure Duncan will know what it is along with a few others
    Now I need a turbo to keep up!

    Just had a new turbo fitted to my 2.0 turbo vectra,which has the z20net engine. The number on the side of my turbo was 720168. This is the same turbo that is fitted to the 9-3 Saab. When My turbo went I phoned Turbo Technics and they would not have it that it was the right turbo, the one they are quoting though is for the old z20let engine. Gave the number 720168 to the company I got my turbo from and they gave me the right one back. HTH

    PM me your reg number and I'll see what comes up from your chassis number. BTW, why do you need a replacement turbo?

    Got mine from Turbocharger Solutions in Darlington. They charge £380 + Vat for a reconditioned turbo. Even though my mechanic managed to get mine VAT free. Might be worth while checking out their website.

    hi there i had to got a new turbo beginning of the year got my from autovaux at wakefield with all gaskets 4 405 pounds the turbo had done 105k but it tuck 2 day from Germany gm part

    The 2.0T's were fitted with Garrett GT2052's, at least up to end of 2005. The id plate is visible on the side of the turbo IIRC.

    Got the reg no. in the PM, but unfortunately it doesn't bring up details of which turbo. Part no's for 3 different turbos come up for your car, but no info on what sort they are or what differentiates them. I can see the build list for your car, e.g. all the equipment was added at the factory, what size tyres it came with, which badging, which alternator etc, but no turbo information. Sorry mate.

    I see from your profile that you have got a 2004 Signum, well my vectra is a 2004 so I presume that the turbo's will be the same i.e the Garrett 720168. As I said that was the number I gave to Turbo Charger Solutions and I got the right turbo back, but if you try and read the number on the side plate of your turbo just to confirm. I had to use a mirror and practice being a contortionist to get into a position where I could read the number.
