Default Free Sky Movies on Screen 1 & HD from Friday 6pm until Monday 6am

Sky are allowing a free promotion viewing of Sky movies on screen 1 and HD from 6pm this friday until 6am on Monday. No sign up or update required to view. ie. open to everyone who receives some form of Sky TV.
It's only unlocked between the times mentioned above.
They used to do this ages ago in the hope it will prompt people to sign-up, after seeing what they are missing...lol

I thought some of the members who do not subscribe to any movies packages like myself may be interested.

I've got the movie package and had the SKY magazine through the door this morning. Those with the movie package can now get a free HD box!

Many people have said what a big improvement the HD channels are so a phone call is on the cards me thinks!

trouble is have you seen the films they've got on.
it's hardly a selection to make a non movie subscriber like me go running to the phone to add it to my sky package
i love films but you've got to think is ir teally worth it when they're showing Tom Hanks in "BIG" at least twice in two days. i enjoy the sky packages i have but i think i'll stick to my dvds and films that are on the channels i already get.

Thanks for that info, I was not aware they had started doing that, though I suppose it was always on the cards eventually.

Although I dont subscribe to either HD or any movies channels, our is just the basic variety mix and the discovery type channels, I do already have a HD box which I purchased last year from one of the members on here, as I find even the none HD channels give a better picture through the HDMI cable than normal scart. Ocassionally we will watch the freebie HD channels...lol.

Never bothered adding further options as the wife and I spend a few months of the year out of the UK, so considered it not worth it for us. TBH our TV always seems to be dominated by the NCIS progs she constantly seems hooked on...lol.
I only get to watch the Knowledge channels like discovery and the others or a late film after she's gone to bed.
