    Default Front OS indicator issue

    Hello

I am having a few problems with the lights on my 05 Signum Elegance.

It started with the front OS Indicator not working which seems to cause the side repeater and rear indicator to flash twice as fast, if I give the front head light a little knock the indicator will come back on and everthing works fine untill you turn the ignition off and then back on then you are back to square on.

I had a quick look under the bonnet and noticed that some of the plastic clips that hold the headlight in were broken so I have just been upto Eurocar parts and bought an entire new headlight to the tune of £141.45 (ouch!) but whilst on my way back I had to use my horn (some dizzy woman carved me up) and when I pressed the horn I got a message on the computer saying both parking lights had gone!?!? checked the parking lights once I got back and sure enough neither were working so gave the headlights a knock and hey presto the came on.

Anyone ever experianced this sort of thing too? any ideas on a fix?

you obviously have a poor connection somewhere in the lamp circuit - the bulb warning will come on prior to a bulb blowing as the circuit is monitored constantly
best advice would be to fit your replacement broken headlight

then check the connection on the opposite park light bulb - and maybe have a few spare bulbs to replace them with to be on the safe side

    regards

    Thanks for the reply Dez

Going to drop the front bumper off tonight and fit the new headlight, just got everything crossed that it sorts out the problem as it's MOT time next week.

This is a standard feature on any car I've ever driven mate - tells you one of the bulbs isn't working...
