Rain censor

Filled new wiper motor and wiper linkage but the rain sensor does no work. Has anyone had this problem.

Just to add new windscreen fitted as well.

did they transfer the Gel part off of the old windscreen (sensor )when they fitted the new screen - if not then the gel part is missing and wont make a contact to allow the sensor to operate

I will check in the morning but I think the winscreen cam with the sensor attached. Because they asked if I had a rain sensor screen.

they ask if you have a rain sensor to ensure they order the correct type of screen the senor is separate to the screen itseld and is fitted to it

if they removed the old screen there should have been a "jelly" that sandwiches between the screen and the sensor to make the two work
if they didnt transfer it which they sometimes forget then the sensor will be useless
