Default Dog Guard or Crate Advice needed

I'm going to be getting 2 Collie X Puppies one all white called Monty and One that is all black apart from a little bit of white under his chin called Chester on the 7th of November they will be 8 weeks old.

I'm going to be bring them home in large box on the Saturday morning.

I'm wanting a bit of advice on how other dog owners on the forum transport there dogs around do you use a dog guard or crate and were do I get one for my Vectra.

I don't have either in my car. I have 2 bearded collies and I have trained them so they know not to jump over the back seat. I would probably say with the Vectra's slopping window a dog guard would be better. We have a crate for the house though (bought from ebay). When they are small (ie when bringing them home) I would take someone with you to attend to them while you drive. Be prepared for them to whine all the way home too since they've nice been away from their mum yet.

Post pics up when you get the puppies And most of all, make sure you enjoy them as puppies (although they are hard work with all the peeing and pooing) because they grow up very fast!

You should always restrain your dog in the car somehow, otherwise your pooch may end up going through the windscreen in the event of an accident. You might end up with 1 dead dog and if he hits your head on the way though, 1 dead owner too..

I was wondering this for my 2 Rotties. I can keep them from getting onto the back seats just by leaving the rear headrests up more. They can't get past that part. I have not tried this on my Vectra since I have had it (works on Astra G). They have not been in my Vectra yet but I will at some stage, I will probably try the same trick. Whats the boot space like for 2 dogs in the rear? Thanks
