    Default DMF Replacement

    Hi all

My car is going in to Vauxhall tomorrow hopefully to have the dmf replaced under warranty(I get vibration/rumbling through the clutch pedal)

The question is should I expect the clutch to be replaced as a matter of course???
Obviously if they refuse to fit a new clutch, I will have to pay for a new clutch, as there will be little point putting the old one back, even though the car has only done approx 24000 miles

    Cheers Ian

They won't replace the clutch as a matter of replacing the DMF, they would only change it if it needed it - you probably would have to foot the bill of a clutch to get done, which is a highly recommended at DMF change time.

If the clutch is damaged because of the dmf fault it should be replaced, if they don't & the clutch goes after a short period after, i would contest it had failed & it negligence on their part.

Result!!! Stevens Vauxhall (Crawley) have replaced the flywheel & CLUTCH under warranty, I should be able to collect car later today once they have finished putting it back together & test drove it, they also provided a free courtesy car so hats off to Stevens.

    Cheers Ian
