    confused Injectors? help

    Hiya!

My wifey wants a BMW 320 diesel - god knows why!?

She has seen one close to us in Norwich, but they say:

It needs new injectors! What does this mean?
How will the car perform like this?

Are they expensive? Easy to fit?

The car is a a great price, but jus need to wiegh this up...

    ANy helkp would be awesome.

    Ta, Ian.

dependant on the engine and type of injectors fitted they could be anything from £100 to £350 each

they may also only need cleaning or overhauling = which if it was required i would recommend Diesco in Ipswich - not too far from you

    (normally £50-75 per injector)

who has diagnosed it requiring injectors as well and why haven they had the work completed ??? maybe alarm bells......

    regards

    Ta,
    Ian.

    Ian,
i'd like to know from them who had diagnosed the fault - then you can contact them and ask if they needed over hauling or replacing - and the costs involved - may give you more to barter with on the price

    regards

    Because it's a diesel
Maybe fit a dump valve and confuse people into thinking the bus has arrived? ahhhh my brothers old boyracer 306 TDI was sooo funny (stupid)

Erm... injectors, they get bunged up with crap which affects the spray pattern, if this pattern fires fuel in even the slightly wrong direction then it's "bag of spanners" time, they're definitely expensive to replace.
