    Default Water on the dash!

Ok so this is an odd one. Whilst coming back on the M4 today in some light rain I heard a bang from the front screen on the passenger side. I assumed it was a stone or something

However my passenger then started to get wet! There was water spitting up from the area where the screen and dash meet around the vin plate area! It was only a little and she said she could also feel a draft through from there.

So, ideas as to where it could be comming from? The pollen filter is dry before anyone asks I had a quick feel behind the carpet and I think its a bit wet in the passenger footwell...... Gonna take the glove box out tomorrow to have a better poke about.

Could the bang have been the screen seal going?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

they dont have a 'seal' as such but sikaflex or whatever sealant they use to fix/seal the windscreen in place.. Its possible that you have cracked the screen underneath the lower weatherstrip possibly?

I will take the wiper panel off and have a look see tomorrow, I thought the screen had cracked but couldn't see anything. I would imagine its the screen seal

I wouldn't expect sikaflex to go with a bang though!!

Interesting to find the cause / result of this.

    very mystifying!!

Hope it is easy and CHEAP to sort!!

Bit of an update, just had the front carpets "up" and the passenger side is soaking, had the car running with the a/c on to help dry them out. Its in my garage now and the siggy is back out on the road for the week!

But, I removed the screen trims and could not see anything wrong, I know its not the origional screen, in face I think its the 3rd one in there.

Anyone know the best way to get a screen for free? That way I know the seals will be ok.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
