    Just to update,

    He said he reversed as the car infront of him started reversing. Only this has gone all tits up now as he hasnt reported the accident to his insurers, and he's not responding to any attempt of contact by me, my insurers or the claims management company that are dealing with it.

    As far as i can tell, he hasnt commited an offence under the RTA as he did stop at the time of accident and exchanged correct (verified) details, so as he's NOT uninsured OR untracable, i dont even have a claim through the MIB.

    I'm now being told that since im only 3rd Party insured, that i have no chance at the moment of getting my car repaired, since they dont have an admission of liability. The claims manager even went as far to say that anyone can reverse into anyone and if they dont admit it theres nothing they can do.

    I'd keep pushing the insurance co, they can take the other party to court to progress the claim. Sounds like they are trying to get out of dealing with the claim as the other party is not playing the game and they cba to chase it up.

    gonna update again here,

    claim form came back from 3rd party saying i went into the back of him. he hasnt put any witness' down, fortunatly i put the feelers out to see if anyone in the local area saw it and someone did, so in the process of getting it sorted now, have been advised since its got rather messy it may take some time.

    Has anyone ever used "Albany Assistance" via their insurance company before? They are an accident managment company, they've been pants the whole way, they have a real bad "cant do" attitude, its dissapointing.

    Although, props to Elephant, my insurers, have been really helpful in moving things along.

    Can't believe the cheeky "barsteward" is claiming its your fault!

    This is where onboard video camera's are invaluable, still trying to adapt my ATC2000 helmet camera to to fit the Vectra... Got to make a bracket for it though.

    indeed, it does take the P***!

    been looking at these;

    http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/mini-dv...et-camera.html

    http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/roadhaw...ive-camera.htm

    the roadhawk is the better product so it seems, but it looks too big/im in london it'll get nicked. The mini dvr-2 looks like i could mount and wire it so its fairly out of view, looking for front and back really.

    Yes Albany are useless - I ended doing everything myself after I was involved in a hit and run earlier this year. I really did wonder what I pay for their services for and I said as much on the survey form they sent me. I may cancel their 'service' when my insurance policy is due for renewal.

    I never pay for the 'claims assistance' or 'uninsured losses' - saves me £20 a year. If you have a decent claim any of the no-win no-fee companies will bite your hand off and if you have a difficult one they don't want to know anyway.

    Did you know that your insurance company actually sells the details of your 'uninsured losses' to a no-win no-fee company anyway? So they make money from both ends.

    did he provide his address to you? if so, you have an address to serve a summons on him. Then he has to figure out if he's willing to lie in court as well as to his insurance.
