    Eek induction kit fitted but...

    have fitted my cone filter today made the heatshield at work, put it all on but really not sure about the noise its producing i know it would never sound like a petrol car but...it sounds like a tractor lol it just sounds wrong so might take it off... also took some photos of my little one pretending to drive lol....

    Its never a good idea mate,put it back to standard but fit a KN filter if you must do something

    it has been done but in white.. the picture couldn't have been very good, because looking at it, it looks yellow!!!!! thats strange but yeah done every thing in blue except for the screen which is white.. the camera lies! lol

    Same thing happens with my white screen from different angles, sometimes it even looks blueish.

    In stop/start traffic, you'll do nothing but pull hot engine bay heat in. Not really whta the engine likes. Having said that, I've had this set up in the past on another car and loved it. Swings and roundabouts?

    Yea, the old XE's didnt mind the heat and when you see a jap car they always have open filters. These Ecotecs hate it however.

    Get a closed induction kit mate, if the £150+ price for the specific kits turn you off, you can buy universal ones off eBay for about £50 IIRC.

    changed back to the original today,, thought the engine was being funny, so took off, dont know wether to get k&n panel or enclosed induction kit now...hmmmmm
