    Default tape to cd

    hi guys any of you have any info on how to convert tapes to cd? found some old tapes of live recordings of a band im in(brass band) and would like them a cd. any help appreciated

    You can record them into a free program called audacity, then export as a mp3 etc. Do a search in google for the software.

    on my last computer (xp) i bought xp plus which has a program for doing this.just plugged my old walkman cassette into the computer.

    Audacitys the way mate, play the tape back on a walkman or similar, plug a 3.5mm jack to jack lead (normal headphone type) from the walkman to the microphone/line in port on your computer, set audacity to record from the port you've chosen, then you can use audacity to chop it up and save it as mp3.
