    Default Pedal test

    hi,
    the warnig light has come on and i dont know how to do the pedal test can someone guide me please.

    Warning light for what mate? What does the light look like? If you can be a bit more specific we'll have a better idea of your problem and will be able to advise you better

    its the dreaded car with spanner light. it comes on every morning for about 15 sec and if i rev over 3k then it goes out straight away.

    My old veccy b did the same, turned out it had a glow plug off. Hth.

    how can i check if its the glow plug where i they located. would it come up on the pedal test, if so how do i do the test.

    What's this 'pedal test' that you're on about. I don't think any of the members will have heard of that. As a mechanic myself, the only 'pedal test' I ever carry out is for testing brake servo operation

    Oh right, well I've never heard of it. Best thing to do is get it on a Tech 2

    its still running at the mo and as things are a bit tight ill wait a bit and just use my almera

    It involves turn the key so ignition is on but not started, whilst pushing down on the accelerator and brake, the lights in the tacho will flash, count the flashes and it give you the fault code, not sure how to decode the flashes, but do a search and it will tell you. The glow plugs only apply if you have a diesel, if so they are under the big plastic engine cover, similar to spark plugs on a petrol...
