SRI Headlights

Just wondering if all SRI headlights are standard with xenon lighting? Looking to fit some into my LS, some ads on ebay say SRI headlights, but don't say xenon, whereas some do say xenons!

i'm assuming your meaning hid when you say xenon. if so, no is the answer. you have to buy an aftermarket hid kit. you get them for about 80 quid of ebay, if i remember correct. the only model of vectra that can with hid xenons as standard was the gsi

I read that the HID's are xenon lighting? Not too sure, but thanks for clearing that up anyway. Never see any vectra GSI's, they seem pretty much extinct.

They look just like other Vectras .... apart from the 3.2 V6 you can just read on the boot lid as it leaves you for dust !


Sadly though, mine didn't come with HID lights. Maybe it was only standard on facelift ? Not that it's a problem - I've found the normal hooligan lamps fine so far.

Those aftermarket HID kits, I seen one advertised, maybe it was badly advertised, but it said something like 8000 hours lifetime, do they run out and become standard lights after a short period or was this just badly advertised?

Yes, I think i've seen like 2 maybe 3 GSI's since getting my veccy, one being in the passenger seat also, but that was a diesel, would love to sit in a petrol.

no they'll never turn back into standard lights. the come as a kit which comes with two ballasts which are needed to run hid bulbs. everything you need is in the kit. very simple to install
