rolleyes A definitive answer please! lol

I am looking to treat my 2.2 (Elegance, yep I can hear y'all laughing) to a set of lowering springs - Gonna go for the Eibach ones. Can anyone confirm that I can use these with standard shocks, or is it false economy & replace them anyway.

Lastly, who is the best place/Person to contact to do this at a sensible price & do you need a full 4 wheel re-alignment cos' the ride height is altered?

(Assume camber doesn't need to be adjusted either?)

Just want to be safe rather than sorry, befor parting with my hard earned cash

Thanks in advance for your Jedi Vectra knowledge.....

Yes mate you can use Eibach springs on standard shocks

Its only when you go to 40 mm or more do you need shortened shocks good luck with getting them post pics when fitted

Eibachs are fine with standard shocks. You'll need your axle weights for the correct springs.

rolleyes You guys are legends, thanks!

Will post a pic once I get them fitted....what about the camber adjustment & 4 wheel alignment? - Surely they need to be sorted so the tyres dont scrub & handling is not scew?

You won't have any tyre scrub on standard wheels, as a rule its always best to get your car set up whenever you have suspension work done to make sure everything is as it should be.

I changed my springs over to Eibachs when one broke and am using standard shocks with no probs. I have to say that the handling has improved greatly. I would say though that the ride could benefit with a bit more rebound damping to stop the bouncy effect over undulations. Some B4s would prolly do the trick.
