    Default Swirl Rod Fitting orientation

    Hi
My swirl rod fell off, so I have removed it to do the quick fix.
However, not sure which way it goes back on

There is one 'pod' which seems to sit a little higher than the rest.

Can anyone giove me a description, or a pic, on which is the correct way it fits back in from left - right

    Cheers

The third one from the left (as you look from the front) is the motorised one, so that is the one thats slightly different.

All the 'pods' on the rod look the same.

Top try and describe, there is a pod at each end.
Coming from the pod, there is a straight section of metal before it is angled upwards.

This straight section is smaller at one end than the other.

Additionally one pod looks like it sits slightly higher than the rest - This is either the 1st or the 4th...?!?!?

    Cheers

This are the 3rd and the 4th caps, as you count from the driver's side. So, you can see that AFTER the 3rd one there is a lower angle of the metal.

I was in the same position when I took mine away from the car,the way I worked it out was with the third one from left to right was the most worn,it was the one I remembered looking at first and it was beside the motorised one (third from left). Now saying that I was at the stealers today to get an EGR valve fitted, went up the road home happy as a pig in s#@t until the car went into limp mode again when I got close on 70mph.I went back over to be told that the quick fix I had done with the bar on the swirl valves wasn't working and that it had came off and I needed a Manifold. So I went home and had a check to see the fourth one on the right had come off (sitting a bit high) are maybe I had missed it the first time.I got it pushed on anyway and had a good run in the car doing 80mph and it's working 100% for now fingers crossed...I hope this helps you and I havn't confused you too much...lol.
