    Default Remote boot release

As the title say, how does it works? I was reading the car's specs on the dealer's website and it says "remote boot release", so am just wondering how to work it out, do i need to press one of the button on the keyfob?

My car is 57 1.9 sri cdti.

    thanks in advance guys.

on the elite estate you press the unlock boot button and it opens for you. press it again and it closes! pretty snazzy. i guess the saloons also have a remote release, but not the closing function.

on my elite estate the remote button simply arms the button on the boot to release the boot. its not opened for you as such. likewise with the buttons on the drivers and passenger door controls.

Press and HOLD the unlock button, it will open until you release the button!

You can see if you have it by using the method Flaninacupboard mentioned or, if it doesn't work, just open the boot and look at the boot's dampers: if they are full of plastic and thick, it means you have a full opening boot that doesn't work. If they are skinny and only metal, you don't have it.

A friend of mine has it on his Vectra, which doesn't have a lot of the options I have, but I don't have this one.
