Default Help please....traction controls killed my car!

On the way home from work pulling up a hill in 4th gear doing about 55mph.
All of a sudden complete power loss and the traction control light was on permanet.
I pulled over and the car was idleing at 1400rpm....turned it off and on.....same problem.
Popped the bonnet and disconneted the positive on the battery for 2 mins reconnected and the problem was still there.

Ive limped the car home on 1400rpm as there is no response from the throttle at all and left the battery disconnected over night.......
    Whats happened?

Could a fuse of popped?? If not and its and expensive repair could i take a t/c fuse out so its drivable???

I Dont have money for a vauxhall dealer

I had this exact problem a couple of times whyile I had my car mate. Both times it was etiehr raining a lot or I'd been through a puddle. I turned off the engine for 5 minutes or so and it cleared itself...

if penfolds diagnosis of water is correct i suspect your traction control light is on because of a permanant fault - because its suspecting a fault with the braking system then its preventing you from driving too fast

i think you will find that you probably have a break in the wheel speed sensors or the abs sensor this would be the first area to check

There was no water when it happened.....everything was dry as a bone.
Left the battery dissconected over night and everything was fine this morning...........

I Know it sounds a silly question.....but could my subwoofers have caused this??

I Know i could do with a yellow top battery for the system that i am running but do you think that when the bass hit hard and the voltage dropped it could have caused it?

I'd go for either an ABS sensor or CIM module
Wait until the fault becomes permanent

It's quite easy to test and check whether it is the ABS or CIM

the sensors can also be displaced /have a poor contact caused by a build up of rust

TC light on 'solid' when driving indicates a problem, unless it has been disabled via a switch in the centre console. If TC is working the TC light should only ever flash while driving. It's in the manual. It should be looked at IMO.
