Tyre Pressures

Just put on 4 new uniroyal rainsport2s the other week, so far im impressed with them but the ride seems a bit firm, now they r just the standard size and rims , 17" 215 50s, what tyre pressures do u all run ur tyres at? My car is an 2007 Vec c sri 1.9 cdti 150

The handbook figure is 33 psi all round, isn't it? That's what I set mine at.

convert bar to psi 14.5 x bar value 14.5 x 2.5 example.

Assuming they are 91W on a hatchback / saloon

Front : 33
Rear : 35

quick rule of thumb....

size of the wheel - double it and add 2 lb so 17'' would be 34 + 2 so 36lb front and rear...

It's a rough guide, but some cars may need higher or lower than that
Mine needs 38 front and 39 rear, that's PLUS 4 and 5

TBH i use 36 front and 36 rear on my estate... found this to be the best on the standard goodyears 215/50/17.
