    Default 288mm instead of 285mm

Do you guys think a 288mm disc will fit my stock (285mm) Vectra C CDTi? I have a pair of 288mm discs, brand new, lying around. Assuming everything else is ok, measurements speaking, do you think it will fit?

looking at the 285mm disks - can you see if you have enough cleanrance from the top of the disk to the caliper?

if you have - fit them and then check the pads are rubbing on the right part.

    that would be my answer.

As Judas said, you need to see if there is clearance from the edge of the disc to the caliper as well as them being the right thickness (the discs).

If in doubt, leave them as they are.

Don't forget that the 288's will have 1.5mm extra radius - all of which won't be in contact with the pads, which means it'll turn into a "lip" as the disk wears down.

I don't think they do mate. I had a 288mm set up on my Astra and had to get new calipers and so on. Would be lucky if the discs fit in standard calipers.

The whole set up did fit ok under 15" rims so you'll be ok in that respect.

I think I'll give up the idea. The discs on the car aren't that bad, in fact they are not bad at all. I'll try and sale the 288 discs and maybe get a Goodridge braided hose kit. I always wanted to try something like that.
