Default I need some new tyres!

Does any one know where the best place to get some avon zv3 215-50-17-95W from?

managed to get them at 75 quid each last year.. but am struggling to find them under £100 each this time!

Anyone spotted any good online places to buy from ? or know anywhere in the preston area?

    Cheers

Have you tried pricing up 225/45/17, i just got 4 Falken's fitted for £300, they were £50 cheaper than the 215/50/17.

Yep, change to 225/45/17. More choice available and thus cheaper than the 250/50/17 size.

As above: 225/45/17 is much cheaper as it's a lot more common and fitted to more cars, and is mentioned in the Vectra handbook as an alternative tyre size mate. As long as you change them both on the same axle, there won't be any issues...

Will the speedo still show the same speed? Ie using a different size tyre on the car as apposed to the one the speedo was calibrated to

Going from 215 50 70 to 225 45 17 will make virtually no difference at all

The speedo is only within about 10% anyway, so no, it makes very little difference. have a search, loads on here about it I believe there is a sticky post somewhere with a tyre calc on it too
