It's my father in laws, he bought it new, and it has only been in the rain about 4 times! It's only been out twice since that photo was taken. Hence not even covering 9000 miles yet.

Even with an LPG mate it'll still drink it... Wit the mileage you do though it would take long to pay for itself...

(and yes, I did notice the LPG bit after I'm made my post, I just felt it was still a valid point...)

The jag is pretty common. i'd save your pennies for something you REALLY want, rather than something that's just available and seems like a good deal.

Is the old man giving it to you for free? If so take it for the weekend runs.

Otherwise as your daily driver it' be done in 6 months....if you can afford it, keep the sig for work and the jag for the weekends...

Fair enough PS, not forgotten about your cam belt, the guy who gives the prices is on holiday until tomorrow.

It's not that I would be compromising on the Jag, I really like it, always have, and with under 9000 miles on it, I could run it for two years, it would then be 9 1/2 years old with 68000 miles on it, so still under average mileage.

I did think of this, I don't think he would ask too much for it. It's forecourt price based on 30,000 is about £6500 due to it being nearly 8 years old.

How do you value it with less than 9000 miles. But it would be nice to keep it for a weekend car.

X-Types finish this year, so you will still see them about as lease cars for another 4 years, then they will start to disapear and it this one at 10 years old has only 9-10 k miles on it, it will be a nice car to have.
