    Default ultrasonics.

Hi ppl anyone know how to remove the ultrasonics on a veccy c, ive managed to pull the ultrasonics from the roof but cant see how the wiring is removed.
I have another thread going about an alarm problem im having which i couldnt sort out but since ive pulled the ultrasonics out they have stopped working, the led light is now flashing fast then slow and now showing safeguard so wondering if this has been an underlying problem to the alarm going off.
    Anybody got any ideas?

Hi ppl sorry to be a pain. Has any one removed there ultrasonics and if so how did you do it, are the ultrasonics connected by a plug into the main wiring in the roof.
Has anyone bought the ultrasonics, if so how much are they and have you got a part number. Cheers.

Do you mean the movement sensors between the interior light and the rear view mirror? Its wired to the roof ribbon loom through a connection bank on top of the interior/map light. You'll have to remove the light to get to it. 3 trox screws behind light lens and 2 in the sunglasses holder (if fitted). Carefuly remove whole unit from the roof. Unclip the black 'bank' to get to the little clips on the alarm sensor plug.
Hope that helps. Sorry dont have a part number.

Hi Bigmac ive sent a pm to you about the ultrasonics.
Think ive saved myself £40.00 at vauxhall for tech 2ing my veccy. The ultrasonics (movement sensors) were working but you had to wave like mad to set them off, i unclipped the ultrasonics from the roof (didnt disconnect the wiring), clipped them back in and they stopped working (check safeguard came up and the led flashed fast then slow). Anyway thanks to advice given in this thread i removed the interior light etc so i could get to the plug for the ultrasonics, i disconnected it and reconnected it, refitted everything and now the ulrasonics are working again you can just wave your hand across the ultrasonics and it sets the alarm off, no check safeguard now and led stays constant and then flashes slowly so looks like maybe a loose connection so just crossing fingers now
