Default Supaguard is it any good????

A Friend has just purchased a brand new fiat 500 and it is coming with Supaguard on it.

    Is it any good?

Does he need to apply any other wax/sealant to protect it?

there probably paying £300 ish for it !

a decent paint sealant which would cost you £20-50 could be "applied" by them and thats £250-270 they could spend on something else

or they could buy a set(supaguard) from ebay for £20 and again do it themselves

0-Large smile ......every time it's driven

as above, should have got the money off, then all he needs to do is learn to wash the car correctly no harsh chemical NO Tesco hand washes. bottle of quick detail and it will only last 6 month or so. so by march it will not be holding up very well. and then clay to remove whats left

SupaGuard is a good product mate and worth having imo.I used to apply this at a Land Rover dealership and it does keep the paint protected as long as you follow the washing procedures once applied.Worth having.

I had it done on mine last year (mates price) and its lost its protection a bit ago, lasted about 7 months (good shout Lump) but after a couple of months it wasn't really protecting as well as a well waxed car with decent protection can do.

On a new car for free, I'd say its worth doing (but it wont last as long as they say), but to pay for its not.

Had it applied to the new bmw, still not 100% about it. What I'm not sure about is how it will fair under normal washing/waxing conditions.

If it only lasted 7 months,it was not done or not applied correct, supagagard is guaranteed for 3 years.as the guarantee states"should ther within the guaranteeperiod a general or panel by panel colour fading of the exterior paintwork or a noticeable deteriorationof the gloss finish then supagard or an agent will re-treat"
My last 3 cars plus the wifes last 2 have all had supagard applied and they have all maintained a good shine plus far easier to clean,if you are going to get it done as an extra haggle !,my last car I Vectra-c I got done for free I only paid for the actual pack £50.00.
