    Default 1.9cdti (150)

I am thinking of changing my 06 plate 2.2 direct elite for a similar age & model diesel, it has done 93k and has a full service history, if this is to be believed and all work has been done when is the next cam belt change due? And are there any other things i should be looking out for in a car of this age/mileage, thanks in advance

The 2.2. is chain driven so no belt to change.

EDIT: Or were you meaning the diesel you're looking to get? If so what engine as the cam belt interval varies.

Yep, but which diesel are you looking at so that we can answer your question about cambelt interval.

I think the answer to that is in the title Duncan

Vauxhall say 100k for cambelt change on the 150. However, no one in their right mind would leave it that late. I changed mine at 80k for piece of mind.

What I would suggest to you is find out when or IF the cambelt was changed then double that figure and that'll be when it needs changing again. (IF it hasen't been changed I would change it NOW and you'd be looking at £300 ish from Vauxhall, did mine with local garage so not sure)
